Twin city of Hyderabad and Secunderabad is located in the Telangana State of India and is named after Simandar Jah of Asaf Jahi dynasty. Founded in 1806 it was directly under the British rule till 1948. It is also one of the largest cantonments in India and is separated from Hyderabad by the lake Hussain Sagar and unlike Hyderabad its official language was English.
